A nice example of an antique solid silver hat pin stand with a red cushion on a silver base. It is an unusual piece with a weather vane style top and a cockerel finial.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1908 and William Vale & Sons.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some small dinks around the silver base and some faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays beautifully.
