Antique Oak Tambour Front Filing Cabinet
Circa 1920
Lovely example of an early 20th Century oak filing cabinet with 10 drawers and an attractive tambour front. It is solidly built from Oak with panelled sides and back and is in good usable condition. The tambour front slides smoothly and it comes with a working key. The escutcheon plate is engraved "Angus, London". The drawers are clean and tidy and open well. There is an original retailer's plaque inside one drawer for "C.R.Evans Ltd, Complete House Furnishers, 12 Lucius Street, Torquay".
It is in good condition and displays well. There are signs of age and use, some surface marks, small knocks here and there and a few areas of wear but nothing detrimental or untoward. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
