A lovely oak desk chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made. It has a lovely shape with a spindle back and large curving arms. The seat is upholstered in a beautiful maroon leather with a studded edge and it stands on four splayed legs terminating in castors. The chair swivels on a large bolt and also tilts backwards when you lean back.
It is in very good condition for its age and is structurally very sound. It is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing untoward for a chair of this age and it has a lovely rich patina. The leather seat is in good condition and the mechanism for tilting and swivelling is in good working order.
It is approximately 33" (84cm) high and the arms are 22 1/2" (57cm) wide. It is approximately 17 3/4" (45cm) deep and the seat is 18" (46cm) high but this is adjustable.
