A lovely oak desk chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made with a thick shaped elm seat. It has a curving back supported by shaped splats with heart cut-outs and two scrolling arms. It has four splayed legs and swivels around on a central bolt.
It is in good condition for its age and has developed a lovely aged patina. It is not without a few small marks here and there and some wear to the finish in places but nothing detrimental. There are a couple of old repairs but nothing untoward and the chair is strong and sturdy. The swivel mechanism is in good working order with minimal movement for a chair of this age.
It is approximately 33" (84cm) high and the arms are 23 1/2" (60cm) wide. The seat is approximately 15 1/2" (39cm) high and 20" (51cm) deep
