Product Details

A good quality oak stationery cabinet dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has a lovely warm patina and a sloped front with brass escutcheon.

The doors opens out to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters and below this is a perpetual calendar with paper days, numbers and months. There is also a pen tray and two glass inkwells, one original and one presumed later. One door holds a writing slab and the other has elastic strings and brass fingers for holding extra papers or documents.

It is in good condition for its age and comes with its original working key. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. The interior is generally clean and tidy. The days of the week cards have presumably been lost at some point and have been re-written but they display well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
