A lovely oak tabletop stationery box with a lovely warm patina and a sloped top with brass cartouche and brass escutcheon. The lid opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters and a pen tray. There is also a drawer below with an inset brass handle which can be opened when the metal pin is lifted.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There are some general signs of age and use, some marks and knocks and an old shrinkage split in the top but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. The box does not come with a key.
