Antique Oak Stacking Barrister's Bookcase
A lovely oak stacking bookcase dating from the early to mid 20th century. It has four glazed sections, each with two hinged doors. The bottom section is deeper and taller than the top three.
It is a good quality piece with a nice colour and patina. As is typical with these pieces, each section can be split down so it can be easily transported. They are currently held in place by screws so it is a very solid construction once screwed together.
It is in very good condition for its age and displays beautifully. It is not without some small knocks and marks but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are some minor signs of historic worm around the base and in the back boards which has all been treated as a precaution. The bookcase has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
