A lovely oak box dating from the early 20th Century. It comes with its original working key and the interior has a fitted lift out tray. The inside of the lid and the tray are lined in a nice old red velvet. Perfect for jewellery, keepsakes or documents.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. There are a few old marks and stains on the linings but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
