A lovely oak desk chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made with a cushioned seat. It has an attractive shape with curved back and scrolling arms with turned supports. It stands on turned legs joined by turned stretchers. It makes a lovely desk chair but would also be a nice library or hall chair.
It is approximately 34 1/2" (88cm) high and the arms are 24" (61cm) wide. The seat is approximately 21" (53cm) deep and 18 1/2" (47cm) high.
It is in excellent condition for its age. It has developed a lovely aged patina with a rich colour and is structurally very sound. There are signs of age and use and it is not without a few small marks here and there and a few old repairs but nothing detrimental or untoward. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
