A good quality oak console table dating from the mid 19th Century. It is a simple design and likely originated from a church or school. It has a twin plank top and stands on chamfered legs joined by square chamfered stretchers. The table is finished to the same design on all four sides of the table, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use and a few small marks on the top surface but nothing detrimental and it has a lovely patina. There are some minor old knocks and marks around the legs but no major damages. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
