A nice example of an antique oak box dating from the early 20th century. It has a decorative brass escutcheon and comes with a working key. It has been relined with a lovely fitted tray with a blue felt lining. The tray lifts out to reveal an additional lined and fitted storage area below.
The sectioning can be removed or modified to suit a variety of uses from collecting coins and medals to storing jewellery.
It is in good condition for its age and has been very well made and looked after. There are some minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. The interior is clean and tidy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
