A lovely small needlework picture of two peacocks in a birds eye maple frame. The frame has a deep cushioned frame with inset gilt slip and a wooden back. The exact age of the needlepoint is unknown but the frame dates from the mid to late 19th Century.
The needlepoint is in good condition and is very decorative. The colours have remained bright and there are no major damages. There are signs of age and use around the frame, some minor knocks and small losses around the edges but nothing detrimental or untoward and it displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
