A good example of a Microspectroscope dating from the late 1800s. Engraved with the maker's name to the tube and serial number '39'. The body is also engraved with a monogram 'S & A.D" next to a crown above 'MET.LAB. 82". This is also stamped on the top of the box.
It comes in its original fitted mahogany box with good quality dovetail joints and a brass closing latch.
The instrument is in excellent original condition and the lacquered brass body is in good order with a few minor marks but nothing detrimental. I have not tested the item and it is sold as seen.
