A lovely mahogany document box dating from the late 19th Century. It comes with its original working key and has two carrying handles. There is an additional concealed storage compartment under the lid which pulls down.
It is a good quality piece and is in good condition for its age. There are some signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and it has a lovely patina. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
