A fine example of a beautiful sarcophagus shaped mahogany box dating from the early to mid 19th Century. Most likely to have once been a tea caddy box it has now been relined with a beautiful blue silk lined tray. The tray lifts out to reveal an additional lined storage area below. It also comes with a working key.
It is in good condition for its age and has been very well made and well looked after. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small marks and knocks and a couple of old repairs but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
