An original Liebreich-type ophthalmoscope, used for examining the interior of the eye. It comes in its original lined and fitted case with the makers name embossed in gilt below the lid "Pillischer Optician. 88 New Bond St. London".
There are two glass lenses stored in the base and a further 5 stored behind the lining of the lid.
It is in good original condition and makes an interesting collectable item. There are some minor chips around the edges of some of the glass lenses but no obvious major damages. The box has some small scuffs and marks but the interior is generally clean and tidy and overall it displays well.
