A good example of an original WW2 era leather map case. It has a large folding flap with one main internal section and a smaller front pocket. There are 2 brass buckles on the back for fixing to a belt or saddle.
It is very well made and excellent quality. It has a lovely aged patina and just the right amount of wear to show that it has been used but well cared for.
It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. The outer has sustained some scuffs and light marks but nothing detrimental. The case has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays well.
