Product Details

A good example of a leather travelling case with a fitted interior, dating from the early 20th Century. It most likely belonged to a doctor or vet and the soft lined interior is split into lots of small compartments for holding bottles.

The case itself is made from a beautiful tan with a leather carrying handle. It has a brass latch and lock plate on the front which is engraved with the retailer's name "A.W.Dear. 35 Knightsbridge. London". There is also a matching label below the lid. There are initials painted on the top "E.B.W".

It is a really good quality piece with copper rivets holding on leather corner pieces and a very sturdy structure. It even comes with its original key.

The case is in good condition and the leather has a beautiful patina. There are signs of age and use, some minor marks and scuffs but no major damages and the case displays beautifully. The interior is generally clean and tidy with a few old marks and stains but nothing detrimental.
