A good example of a large Indian jardiniere dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is made from copper which has been hand decorated with bands of traditional repousse decoration featuring animals, trees and writing. It is a good quality piece with a rolled rim and a great size for a log bin or waste bin.
It is in good original condition and has been lightly cleaned and polished to retain its lovely patina. There are some signs of age and use, some minor dinks and dents and a couple of very small pinholes in the base but overall it displays well.
