A beautiful hand woven Chinese basket dating from the early 20th Century. The body is made from woven reeds and willow with a steamed bentwood handle. These baskets were originally used to gather rice and it has developed the most beautiful patina.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some old patched repairs and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy.
