An elegant gilt wall mirror dating from the 19th Century. It has a beautiful carved wood and gesso frame with an urn shaped pediment in the Regency taste. It likely had further swag decoration which has been lost over time.
It is a very decorative piece with a lovely patina and the gilding is bright and clean. It has bevelled glass and a wooden back.
The mirror is in good condition for its age and displays well. There is some wear and minor losses to the gilding around the edges of the frame and there have been some historic repairs but nothing untoward or detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
