A large and impressive wall mirror dating from the late 19th Century. It has a beautiful carved wood and gesso frame with an ornate scrolling shell motif pediment and floral decoration. The gilding is largely original with a wonderful patina and the whole mirror is bright and clean. An excellent quality piece with its original mirror plate.
The mirror is in very good condition for its age and displays beautifully. The mirror plate is in good condition. There are no major damages to the frame and it is strong and sturdy. There is some wear and minor losses to the gilding and around the edges of the frame but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
