A good example of a an antique copper flat-back kettle dating from the early 20th century. They are also referred to as a barge or train kettle with the flat back specifically designed to save space in compact environments.
It is a good quality piece with a hinged lid and riveted handle.
It is in good original condition. There are no major damages, splits or holes. There are signs of age and use, some small dinks and surface marks and a small dent on the end of the spout but nothing untoward. It has been cleaned and gently polished and displays well.
