A good example of a Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant design with a beautifully curved pouring spout, square handle and gilt interior. There are engraved initials on one side 'W.A.W'.
The jug is good quality, weighing approximately 125g, and is clearly hallmarked for Exeter, 1879, and the maker Josiah Williams.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, small dinks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
