Product Details

A good example of an antique Windsor farmhouse chair dating from the late 19th century. It has a wonderfully shaped elm seat with scrolling arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with turned spindles supporting an arched top rail. It stands on turned elm legs joined by a H-stretcher.

The chair stands approximately 44 1/2" (113cm) high. Arm to arm is 24" (61cm) wide. The seat is 19" (48cm) deep and 18" (46cm) high.

It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use with some minor marks on the seat and around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has developed a wonderful rich patina and the old stain has worn attractively on the arms and seat. The chair has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
