Product Details
A good example of a Windsor chair dating from the mid 19th century. It has a low hooped back enclosing tapering spindles and a pierced back splat. It stands on turned legs joined by a H-stretcher. It has a lovely shaped elm seat with a wonderful grain and colour.
It is in good original condition with a lovely patina. There are some signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks on the seat but nothing detrimental. There has been an old repair to one back spindle but nothing untoward and it is strong and sturdy. The chair has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
The chair stands approximately 36" (92cm) high and is 22" (56cm) wide across the arms. The seat is 14 1/2" (37cm) deep and 16 1/2" (42cm) high.
