Product Details

A good example of a Windsor chair dating from the late 19th century. It has a high hooped back enclosing tapering spindles and a pierced back splat. It stands on turned legs joined by a H-stretcher. It has a lovely shaped elm seat and the chair has a wonderful patina with a warm colour.

The chair stands approximately 40" (102cm) high. The seat is 15" (38cm) deep and 17" (43cm) high and arm to arm the chair is 21 1/2" (55cm) wide.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy with no major damages. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light knocks on the seat and around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
