An attractive and good quality 'Smoker's Bow' or 'Captain's' armchair dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It has a comfortable wide and deep elm seat, beautifully shaped with a wonderful grain. It has broad arms, turned spindles and stands on turned legs joined by a double stretcher.

It is approximately 30" (76cm) high and it is 26” (66cm) wide across the arms. The seat is approximately 19 3/4" (50cm) deep and 16 1/4” (41cm) high.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has developed a lovely patina and is a strong and sturdy chair. The chair is not without a few small marks and signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental.
