An attractive and good quality 'Captain's' elbow chair dating from the early 20th century. It has a comfortable wide and deep elm seat with a curving back supported by turned spindles. It stands on turned legs joined by double stretchers.
It is approximately 32" (81cm) high and it is 23” (59cm) wide across the arms. The seat is approximately 17 1/4" (44cm) deep and 18” (46cm) high.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has developed a lovely rich patina and is a strong and sturdy chair. The chair is not without a few small marks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and no major damages. The chair has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
