Antique Deep Seated Armchair
A good quality country house armchair dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It has a generous deep seat with rounded outward sweeping arms and a gently sloping back, similar to the style made popular by Howard & Sons. It stands on square legs which would have once had castors below.
The chair is well made and very comfortable to sit in with a feather filled cushion. It is covered in a good quality neutral fabric with contrasting red piping that compliments the style of the chair.
The chair is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. There are a few general marks and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. The upholstery is not new but in very good condition with a couple of small marks and some very minor signs of wear on the arms but nothing untoward.
The chair stands approximately 31" (79cm) high, 32" (81cm) wide and 37" (94cm) deep. The seat is approximately 17" (43cm) high.
