A beautiful wooden decoy duck dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. He has been skilfully hand carved and hand painted and is a good quality example.
The duck is showing lots of signs of wear and use. There are many areas of paint loss and marks on the wood and there are some old splits. However it is these signs of wear that give the duck its charm. It's got a lovely distressed authentic look and the patina is just lovely. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays beautifully.
