A good example of an antique cut glass decanter with sterling silver collar and ground glass stopper. The bottle itself is heavy and good quality with a star cut base.
The hallmark on the collar is rubbed but the assay mark for London is readable and we believe the maker's mark is C.J.Vander Ltd. This would date the decanter to circa 1950-1970.
It is in very good condition for its age. The silver is in good condition with a few small knocks and dinks around the opening. There are no cracks or major damages to the glass just some minor nibbles around the end of the stopper. It has been cleaned and the silver gently polished and overall it displays very well.
