A good example of an early 20th Century standard lamp with painted gilded Chinoiserie design on a cream ground. It is made of wood with a turned tapering design on a heavy weighted base with small bun feet. It is a good quality piece with lots of detail in the decoration and lovely blue highlights.
It has been rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb and is in working order with a valid PAT test.
The lamp is in good condition with some minor signs of age and use and some losses and wear to the paint in places but nothing detrimental. It is strong and sturdy and displays beautifully.
