A lovely Arts and Crafts style dinner gong dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is excellent quality and the brass gong hangs in an arched oak frame with gothic style cut outs. It has a wooden handled beater hanging to one side.
It is in good condition for its age. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays very well. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks, some tarnishing on the brass and a chip on the end of the beater but nothing detrimental.
