Antique 3 Piece Silver Tea Set
A good example of an antique silver tea set consisting of a tea pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. It is a stylish set with a round bulbous shape and each piece stands on a round foot. Each piece has a band of floral and leaf decoration and the teapot has an ebonised wooden handle and finial.
Each piece is hallmarked for W&F Rabone, Birmingham, 1913. The hallmarks are slightly rubbed and worn but still readable. The silver is a good heavy gauge with a combined weight of 873g.
The whole set is in good condition. There are some faint surface marks, a few light dinks and one small dent in the side of the milk jug (see photo) but nothing untoward or detrimental and the set displays very well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
Approximate Measurements (teapot) :
