A good example of an African pedestal bowl. It is made from a single piece of turned wood and has a lovely rich colour and patina. The exact age is unknown but it is likely to date from the early 20th century.
It is in good solid order with no major damages. There are of course signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. A very usable piece - the perfect size for a small fruit bowl.
