A lovely set of 4 18th century Sterling Silver berry spoons in a fitted box. They have long handles with engraved decoration and beautifully decorated bowls with repousse work berries and foliage. The tips of the handles are engraved with intertwined initials S,A and L. They are excellent quality, weighing approximately 230g in total.

Every spoon is fully hallmarked for London and the maker William Sumner. Two are dated 1794 and two are dated 1797.

The spoons come in a specially made case with a silk lining and fitted velvet base and the retailer's name in gold under the lid. There are some minor marks inside the box and a couple of small scuffs around the edges but nothing detrimental and it displays well.

The spoons themselves are in excellent condition.There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
