A superb quality and very decorative oil painting of a distinguished gentleman dating from the mid 19th Century. The painting is on canvas and it has been recently relined.
We believe it is titled in the top left hand corner and signed and dated by the artist in the top right hand corner but we cannot definitely make out the inscriptions.
The painting is in good condition and displays well. There are signs of age, some small surface marks and some minor losses and crackling in places but overall nothing detrimental. The painting has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
It measures approximately 30 3/4" (78cm) high x 25" (63.5cm) wide.
