Product Details
A good example of a small solid silver christening beaker. It is continental, likely French, and is of traditional tapering form with a flared rim and simple engraved floral decoration with a weighted base. It has faint engraved initials M.J. which are likely original. It has been later engraved 'HMB.1859'.
It does not have a full set of traditional hallmarks but has a small punch mark on the bottom rim which is hard to distinguish but is likely an early provincial mark.
It is in good condition for its age but does have a few small marks and knocks picked up over the years and a few small dents and surface marks and a slight lean but overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
