An early example of solid Sterling Silver sugar tongs. They are stylish and good quality with a delicate engraved pattern on the handle and a small engraved 'H'. They are a good size and weight, weighing approximately 30g.

They are clearly hallmarked for London, 1799 and the maker Stephen Adams II.

They are in good condition for their age. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
