Product Details
A good example of a Victorian silver mounted desk blotter. The outer leather cover is adorned with ornate silver panels beautifully decorated with cherubs and it also has silver initials E.I. The blotter has a green watered silk lining with a storage section inside the front cover. It has a silk covered insert with its original blotting paper within.
The silver is clearly hallmarked for London, 1899 and the maker William Comyns.
It is in good condition for its age and the silver is in good order. There is some wear to the leather spine and some wear and losses to the silk lining but overall it displays beautifully.
