A small oak chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. It is made of solid oak and has three long drawers with brass plate handles which, although are not original, suit the piece well. It is good quality with a moulded edge and small bracket feet.
It is in good condition for its age. It has developed a lovely warm patina and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and it has picked up some small knocks, marks and a few small chips but nothing detrimental or untoward. The drawers are generally clean and tidy and open smoothly. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
