A large pine storage trunk dating from the early 20th Century. It was most likely a military piece and it has recessed brass handles and protective brass strapping on the corners. There are also two brass mounted holes in one end which would have enabled the trunk to be tied together with other items of luggage on a voyage.
It is very well made and has a lovely colour and patina and it rests on 4 small wheels. It's a great size for a coffee table or end of the bed storage.
It is in very good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks here and there but nothing detrimental. The interior is clean and tidy. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and it is ready for use.
