A lovely Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. The drawers have their original brass swan neck handles and the chest stands on bracket feet. It is a good quality piece with nice rich timbers.
It is in good condition and displays well. There are of course some signs of age and use, some minor knocks and marks here and there and a couple of old repairs but nothing detrimental. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are some signs of historic worm in the base of the drawers which has all been treated as a precaution. The chest has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
