Antique Mahogany Waterfall Bookcase
A good quality mahogany open bookcase dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It is an attractive waterfall design with four stepped shelves supported by turned columns. It has a decorative carved pediment along the top of the bookcase and matching scrolling brackets bordering the top shelf. The bookcase has a mahogany back and stands on a plinth base.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. The mahogany has a lovely rich colour and it has developed a beautiful patina. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few marks and knocks and a couple of old repairs around the base but nothing detrimental and no major damages. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
